"A tiny bit pricey, but actually worth it."
Slightly higher prices are really the only major downside to an otherwise gorgeous area. Lots of beautiful old houses, a few newer ones and cute cottages scattered throughout, too. Henley Beach Road is close by and has an excellent range of shops, restaurants and other facilities. People seem quite friendly.

"Great to visit, a bit too expensive for living."
Lived there for a year a little while back, would suggest it as a better location to go and visit for the cafés and shopping than as a place to live. Then again, if you're a student and you can sort out a couple of housemates, that does balance out the cost a bit.

"Too many upleasant experiences to be coincidental."
Although the suburb has some pros - decent selection of shops and restaurants in neighboring suburbs like Newton and a few parks - it does get a fair selection of unsavoury characters. I've lived here for nearly two years and have been egged, had countless expletives yelled at me from passing cars when out for an evening walk, had friends' cars keyed when they've parked outside my house, and have had a number of items stolen from my front doorstep. Not a suburb I'd recommend to most.

I love Campbeltown! My friend lives here and says there is nothing wrong with it. Your loss, mate.
