Kensington

"Kensington Convenience"

Kensington has a fiercely loyal neighbourhood community as witnessed earlier this year by the vigilance of supporters who successfully protested against the development of a road tunnel staging site at JJ Holland Park. Located 5 kilometres from the CBD, Kensington has several excellent access routes - Macauley Road/King Street, Dynon Road/Spenser Street, Footscray Road/Docklands. There's Kensington and South Kensington train stations, and well paved bike tracks along the Maribyrnong River and Footscray Road into the city. There's a brilliant Kensington Community Garden located on Westbourne Road, and new gym facilities at Kensington Community Centre. Close to shops, schools and medical facilities, Kensington is a great place to live for singles, couples, retirees and families.

Wye River

"Separation Creek Serenity"

Separation Creek is a very special locality located 15 minutes past Lorne, just before the bend heading toward larger Wye River. Sep Creek offers a more secluded and peaceful atmosphere as it is surrounded by Otway National Forest and the land cannot be built out. There's a magnificent beach good for surfing, swimming and beach combing, plus it's dog friendly, but observe beach walking times on posted signage. There are resident koalas in the gum trees, and the cacophony of bird song in the morning is evident of the rich flora and fauna of the area. You can walk the track to Wye River where there are two choices of restaurant - the excellent Wye Hotel with superb views of the glorious beach sunsets, or the newer Wye General Store, which also sells a good selection of staples and gourmet items. The air is so pristine here, and on a cloudless night the vast starry sky is just magic. There are several wonderful accommodations with all the mod cons to choose from at Holiday Great Ocean Road - www.holidaygor.com.au - and many of them are pet friendly. Heaven on earth: it just doesn't get any better than this.

Primula Avenue

"Under valued living 10.5 km and 15 minutes to the City !"

I love living at Primula Avenue, Brooklyn ! It's a great residential area just 10.5 kilometres from the city, and I have really family friendly neighbours. I can't believe the convenience getting to the city - just 12 minutes to Port Melbourne over the Westgate during off peak hour traffic. Our house is on a 700 sqm lot - it's a terrific 4 bedroom size home, with a great backyard for our dogs, and a large vegetable garden. I can walk to Coles, there's a fantastic 23 kilometre paved bike path behind our block that goes to Werribee, there are primary schools, large sports grounds and a community centre.
