Rented in Meadow Heights for 2 years. While it had easy access to a brand new train station, everything else was severely lacking. No good cafes nearby, parks are dirty and not maintained, poor housing and could pretty much write it all off as commissions. While this side of Melbourne is geographically great in terms of major infrastructure such as roads and public transport, it has 'not a single crumb of Melbourne culture.' But a cheap & close step in to Melbourne if you're willing to purchase property on the hopes that one day it will become a sought after suburb that is still relatively close to the CBD.

Decided to move to Mildura to experience a bigger regional town. Signed our first contract to build a house after only just 6 months. Ended up living in Mildura for approx 4 years. Friendly people, huge motorsport following & best restaurants you will find in regional Victoria. Very cheap to build/buy a nice property and also selling will make you a nice return after only a few years. Only left due to wanting to try the big smoke and not having any family base in Mildura.
