Bridgewater

"Mix of the bad and the ugly"

Make no mistake, Bridgewater is filled with some good people, but it's certainly not a place that you could walk around by yourself of the night time, it's an adequate place to live while you're dreaming of living somewhere else, it's in a handy location as far as close to town goes but you would be better of buying somewhere else that's for sure.

Not great for

  • Loads of centrelink customers

"Great place to live"

Located roughly 45 minutes to Hobart this little town has the peaceful country beauty but also the hustle and bustle of town not far away, it has most of the amenities you will need, doctors, chemist, 2 schools (1 private and 1 public).

Another bonus is that there are some great little beaches which are within a 15 minute drive from the town centre, quite often when you go you will have these beaches to yourself or very few people. It's also a very safe area, you very rarely hear of any hooligans around the street which is very rare in todays society. All in all a great place for the family.

Colebrook

"A good place for the family"

I lived in Colebrook for 20 years (growing up) A quiet town which has a takeaway shop and a pub, that's pretty much it. The people in it are very friendly although the children quite often become bored with nothing to do. A family could feel safe here but if you want to have any fun you will certainly need to hop in your car and travel elsewhere.
