Moving from Tassie to QLD

Hey guys, well we are packing up and moving my family of 5 to QLD, coming from a smaller town around 1500 (perhaps peaks to 3000 in summer) means we would prefer a smaller town but within driving distances of Brisbane especially and the Gold Coast, we will have no jobs and around 150k in cash (assuming our house sells for a decent price) so not sure how much the banks will lend us but we would assume we could afford a place like Boonah? so my question, is this place as good as the reviews say? would anyone recommend a town further out? is there any other towns of this size which has a mix of most modern conveniences and the quietness of a country town? any help would be greatly appreciated..... and if anyone wants to know anything about Tassie feel free to ask :)
