Moggill

"Great for Young Families"

Moggill is great for young families just starting, the large parks and the large property for sale. The public transport can be quite a problem though, it is constantly full, although now it is a BUZZ service it has become a tiny bit less congested, this is mainly due to the high volume of people getting on in Bellbowrie, if you get on in Moggill you will get a seat. The distance from main attractions only becomes an issue when your family gets older, and you want to do more things, but if you like to stay out away from the busy things Moggill is a perfect place for you. Moggill State School is quite a good school although Kenmore is the only high school nearby and I have heard quite poorly of it. Ipswich Grammar has a private charter bus service that runs through Moggill for the boys and girls private school. The Moggill service is not that busy as they have a separate one for Bellbowrie. But this, unfortunately, isn't the same for public transport. Ipswich Grammar is an excellent school for anyone looking to send their kids to a private school and live in Moggill. The parks are also very good! If you had to choose between Bellbowrie or Moggill I would choose Moggill, they are the same distance away from the city and Indooroopilly, and Moggill I felt had a much nicer community. Although commuting to the city is an absolute pain, the traffic is just horrendous. But if you don't work in the city, perfect!

St Lucia

"You will never get bored"

There is a numerous amount of things you can entertain yourself with in St Lucia. Including Hawken Drive which has the local IGA and serves a diverse range of restaurants, from Persian to Thai to Italian there is a great selection of restaurants to choose from all on one little strip! Hawken drive is with-in walking distance from anywhere in St Lucia, and if you don't want to walk the numerous amount of bus services will get to you there in no time! There is also the well-known St Lucia Golf Club which has recently opened a Mini-golf course which is great fun, the food is also amazing. There is also the Famous University of Queensland which contains Tennis Courts, Olympic swimming pools, Running courses, Many clubs for people of any age to join and many more. These facilities are also available to anyone but beware a small fee is involved. If you want to go shopping there is the ginormous Indooroopilly shopping centre and Toowong Village that are a short 5-minute drive or bus ride away. The CBD and South-bank are also a short 10-minute bus ride, city cat or train ride away. The proximity to the city also means uber rides are only a cheap $10-$15. If you want the exercise you can even walk! There is a lovely pathway built right along the river which takes you straight into the city! The neighbours are also lovely! Most of them are either elderly or families and everyone is always respectful. With UQ being the most prestigious universities, if you do live next to a student home the students are most-likely well behaved. Although there is always the odd student neighbours who do throw big parties. Most of the time though they are renting and are gone within 6-12 months! St Lucia is also a very safe suburb. With a council patrol car always driving around you can always have a piece of mind.
