Moggill is naturally enrich suburb which is surrounded with river, several parks & bush work points. It reflects convenient public transport, Moggill state school, medical facilities, and new small shopping center which make the life easy. "Leafy, green, friendly - it has a country feel whilst being commutable to the city"

We moved to Moggill in 2018 as we were attracted by the availability of good lot or acreage properties compared to other areas offering the same commutability to the CBD. It has been a great move, the community is lovely, really friendly and supportive. Just very recently a smart new shopping village has opened with a Coles, bakers, cafes, post office, greengrocer and bakery (amount other things). There are lots of Doctors to chose from in the area. The local primary school has a good reputation and there are lots of choices for private education. Moggill even has a ferry - so as an alternative to a longer drive around the river to another bridge you can enjoy a very pleasant 5 minute ferry ride over to the Ipswich side of the river and from there to several highway networks. The area is surrounded by open countryside, reserves, river walks and parks. There are lots of acreage properties and plenty of horses to admire. We have great internet - better here than when we lived closer to the city. There is a farmers market at nearby Brookfield and there is a Westfield shopping centre at Indooroopilly or Redbank Plains.

"Great for Young Families"

Moggill is great for young families just starting, the large parks and the large property for sale. The public transport can be quite a problem though, it is constantly full, although now it is a BUZZ service it has become a tiny bit less congested, this is mainly due to the high volume of people getting on in Bellbowrie, if you get on in Moggill you will get a seat. The distance from main attractions only becomes an issue when your family gets older, and you want to do more things, but if you like to stay out away from the busy things Moggill is a perfect place for you. Moggill State School is quite a good school although Kenmore is the only high school nearby and I have heard quite poorly of it. Ipswich Grammar has a private charter bus service that runs through Moggill for the boys and girls private school. The Moggill service is not that busy as they have a separate one for Bellbowrie. But this, unfortunately, isn't the same for public transport. Ipswich Grammar is an excellent school for anyone looking to send their kids to a private school and live in Moggill. The parks are also very good! If you had to choose between Bellbowrie or Moggill I would choose Moggill, they are the same distance away from the city and Indooroopilly, and Moggill I felt had a much nicer community. Although commuting to the city is an absolute pain, the traffic is just horrendous. But if you don't work in the city, perfect!

Not good for public transport

Agree with Ansarb, Apart from lack of train line, there is no mosque too. That is a shame actually. Majority of the residents of these suburbs (Bellbowrie, Moggill, Pullenvale, Anstead, Kenmore, Indooroo) are wealthy Australians who live peacefully. These suburb do not suit for migrants who have been migrated recently as people live in these suburbs have high community spirit with Australian way of life and values. Very peaceful suburb with zero crime rates. There is no police station up until Indooroopily too. no matter how good schools, safe and nice neighborhoods are... I understand without your own cars, it is hard though. Ansarb's review is correct!

Hi Ansarb
There is city rocket (express bus) takes only 33 min from Roma St to Tavern. You can download the TT from Translink,

Jayde and Kennethr have my vote. Ansarb intentionally came here to give negative reviews to Moggilll as he was envious of the real positive reviews about our beautiful suburb. Shame on you mate!

I have recently bought a house (property) in Moggill. I am currently living in Melbourne. I wish to move to Moggill and live there in couple of years time. Great suburb. When the Kenmore bypass is built (down the track), this suburb will be reached from city within 30 minutes or so.

"Moggill is a superb suburb"

We came from Melbourne not knowing much what this suburb has to offer us.But we selcted the suburb due to its good schools, safety.
actually this is a great suburb. Pullenvale, Moggill, Bellbowrie, Kenmore, Indooroopilly, Toowong all excellent suburbs. recently I went to north and south I didn't like it. I also went to Goodna, forest lake (on the other side of the river) I hate it. I'm going to buy a house in this area now. very green suburb.

Moggill is an excellent suburb.

put it into flood maps, you get nothing comparing to other suburbs...!
put the suburb in to good school catchments... you get excellent public primary & high schools
suburb is only 16km radius to Brisbane city
get the reports from data- the value's been increased and you can see lot of young and professionals

"A great place to live and raise young & growing children"

I have lived in Moggill for the last 5 years and truly believe that there have been no better place than Moggill to raise my two children. This suburb has really good schools and parks and every amenities for children.
Moggil has always represented good value to home buyers compared to other suburbs. Strong Growth and a shortage in rental supply in the last few years is making the area popular with investors, and definitely a good option to consider.

"Growing quickly but keeping its village feel"

We moved to Moggill from the inner city because we were sick of watching every other block get sliced in two with characterless oversized homes squeezed in alongside each other. Moggill offers a beautiful blend of quality developments, which include abundant user friendly green spaces and acreage sites, which showcase the true beauty of the natural surrounds of this lovely area. Yes the drive to work takes longer than it used to but the gentle curves of Moggill Road and the crystal views across the surrounding mountains make the 30 minute each way journey, genuinely uplifting. The community is friendly and diverse and new establishments like the local tavern have created great opportunities for social gathering and entertainment.

"Moggill - Country Feel with City Conveniences"

Moggill is situated approximately 19 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD. It was traditionally home to farms and large acreage properties but in recent times the land is being developed into suburban style modern brick and tile estates which makes living at Moggill very affordable.

Moggill offers a quiet, fresh lifestyle with modern conveniences and city views from some areas. Many properties at Moggill are river front. It's a great place for kids, animals and horses. The Moggill markets are held every second Saturday and draw a crowd. Another fun thing to do is to take the Moggill Ferry across the Brisbane river and explore.

Magnificent suburb. Beautifully green. Near the city still has great semi-rural feel. I want to retire there (wish to grow all kinds of trees and flowers in the garden).
