Leura

"Living in Leura"

I live in Leura. It's important to know that there is north Leura and south Leura, where the shops are. The price difference is pretty big between the two. I like living in Leura because my daily walk is part of the Cliff Walk where I take in the Blue Mountains most days - you can't beat that. Also, the mountains generally is an easy place to get to know people and good if you don't mind running into people you know. I have lived in Leura 6 years and know my neighbours. It's true there are lots of tourists and locals shop early or late to avoid the crowds.
Katoomba is the main shopping centre for daily living with the local libraries etc. Leura is known for its gardens which are on display every year and generally large lot sizes.
