"Not for me"

I lived here for 6 months but found the majority of people very rude. It was also very expensive! I think most people here have a lot of money and are in an older age bracket. Might suit if you had excessive amounts of money and wanted to retire. No public transport.

Mackillop Street

"Best place in Darwin"

I lived in a secure gated complex here and loved every minute of it. Everybody was friendly. The pub over the back fence was good for a quiet drink, the bus ran close to my doorstep, I felt safe, good places to eat and the Markets every weekend!

Woods Street

"Close to Everything"

I lived in Woods street for about 12 months. I rented a tiny studio apartment that was expensive for it's value but that is very very very common in Darwin! Anyway I loved living here because I could walk anywhere I wanted to go, it has the most fantastic nightlife, great little shops, great food, great running tracks. I don't think I would live here with kids, might not be the safest area but I never had any problems athough my neibours were broken into.

  • Safety
  • Can be noisy
