I have lived just out of Ballarat in a little place called Cardigan for the past 15 years (about 5km's out of the CBD) and have nothing but praise to offer for this area. I love the country area, and being only 10 minutes from the Shops, the kids catching a free "country" bus to school, (both primary and secondary) and bringing them home again. Only bad thing, is housing estates at Alfredton keep expanding and are starting to close in on my 10 acres. (no chance of me selling to them though)
