My partner and I bought a house in Durack last year. Durack is an affordable area while still remaining reletively close to the city.
We have had no problems whatsoever living in Durack. All of our neighbours are very friendly and all keep an eye out for each other.
There is all the shops you need including a fantastic butcher and a very cheap fruit and veg shop.
Yes it might be next to Inala but its also next to Oxley, Inala has some fabulous Vietnamese restaurants where my partner and I often go and under $20 feeds the both of us, so don't be put off by the Inala stigma.
You won't be disappointed if you buy in Durack.
