Been living in Maribyrnong for the past 2 years, moved from Box Hill. Maribyrnong I find is so underrated which is great for the people that live in this wonderful suburb. You literally have everything at your door step! The only thing that's lacking which isn't too bad, is a train station, however with the tram line on Raleigh Rd, Ascot Vale and Moonee Ponds train stations close by the city is easily accessible. Prices to buy a home or apartment here is still surprisingly quite reasonable even only being 8km away from the city. I believe in the next few years this will become very, very different! And with future development on the old army barracks, you will see this area boom. Food in Maribyrnong is kinda lacking, but there still is a few hidden jems here you just got to have a little dig around and you'll find something to your taste. Oh and don't forget High Point is just around the corner ;-)
