I've lived in Meadow Heights for over 20 years, it is a great place to raise kids away from the city chaos. Most of the houses have great sized back and front yards and are very affordable when compared to say, Pascoe Vale, which is about 10 minutes away and most homes are set on much smaller blocks of land. There are some great characters I see on a daily basis walking to the shopping centre who never fail to say hello. Never any traffic, so many playgrounds and reserves and there is even a dog obedience school for $2 a class. Great public transport options and only a 10 minute drive to the airport if you go via Sunbury Road past the Airport Lookout. One of the very few suburbs which actually has Ice-cream trucks come out when its sunny outside, kids love it!
