Vaucluse

"I made it"

I just bought a waterfront house in Vaucluse, looking at the harbor bridge and opera house. I have been waiting for a while for this. I really do hope it was worth me spend 18 million dollars. But im sure it will.

Did you write a review to let people know about what the suburb is like or to let everyone know you supposedly spent 18mil on a house?

Cecil Hills

"The Hills in the western suburbs"

Cecil Hills or which I like to say, "The Hills in the Western Suburbs" !! is a fairly new estate. With the value of property rising off the roof, it really is a GREAT place for new families and growing families to live. With the median price range of $690,000 back in November 2010.....It has sky rocketed to a high median price range of $1,800,000 !!!!! A property got sold there for $2,000,000 a few months back !! Now of course every suburb has a side....Cecil Hills has a rich side and a normal average side. The normal average side is just a nice quite average homes in a average street. Where across the lake towards "The Hills" is where the rich side is. If you go for a drive to Cecil Hills you will straight away know the difference of the rich side and the normal average side. The houses on the rich side are just HUGE !!!! with blocks up to 2300SQUAREMETRES !!!! backing off to the reserve ! so pretty much, every land size on the rich side is 900sq.m to 2300sq.m and they are all backing on to large reserves !! I personally like Cecil Hills because it is a new estate and how there is actually a entrance to the suburb !! If you were to ever buy or build in Cecil Hills....I strongly recommend to spend that extra money you have to go on the rich side !!

McCarthy Street

"Most expensive Street in Fairfield West - "Upper-Class Street""

I have lived on McCarthy Street all my life. It is voted number #1 street in the Western Suburbs. The top 20 most expensive houses have been sold on this street. I STRONGLY recommend this street if you are ever considering on moving to the beautiful Fairfield West. You will not be let down. The most expensive House got valued by realestate agents was $1,002,000. Not allowed to give a house number but it was in the 30's. Also Westfields Sports High School, First in Australia for Sports and leading, is 5 minutes away by car.

Great for

  • Most expensive street
  • "Upper-Class Street"
  • Nice Residence

Hi dimitri, great review. What makes the street\area so expensive?

dimitri

Hi AJ, thank you. Fairfield west is an above average area in the western suburbs because of the houses around it. McCarthy street is the only street that offers 4 parks on it out of the whole fairfield west, which is resulted as the most parks on a street in an area, a selective school is near by so that also put the value up. McCarthy street offers the largest land sizes out of the whole western suburbs and the whole street is surround by big houses. Are you thinking about moving to fairfield west AJ?

No not thinking of moving there, but stumbled across your review and just wondered what made the street so great. Thanks for sharing!
