Marrickville

"A thriving community in the heart of Sydney"

Marrickville is a bustling and lively community showcasing multiculturalism at its finest. The area is alive with different nationalities making it, in my opinion, Sydney's most colourful place to live. The range of shops and restaurants is so diverse that you can visit a two dollar shop or discount fashion warehouse while at the same time grabbing a coffee from Gloria Jeans and making your way to the Greek Delicatessen for fresh olives. This is a place where young meet old and professionals meet pensioners. Not to mention the growing morning coffee crowd which gathers for lattes on a Saturday morning.

Neighbourliness is rife too - given that my block of friendly neighbours meets every year for a Christmas party by the pool. We look out for one another and have regular catch ups over drinks and dinner. It's a real community. Marrickville is a fabulous place to live if you want to be close to the action, close to transport and around interesting people. The place is rapidly developing and the young professional crowd are moving in. The cafe culture is most definiately catching on. Now is the time to invest, but you'll need to be quick.
