It's not the safest suburb and like some people have posted, the 4870 postcode crime rates are amongst the highest in QLD, however, if you can't afford nicer suburbs Manoora is a good place to settle with your first home. There are pockets of good streets, but you do get a lot of crime.
It's affordable and you can always move onto a better suburb down the track.
