Redbank Plains

"Redbank Plains just another overpopulated area and getting worst everyday"

Redbank Plains was a nice suburb very green ,lots of trees, and quiet. That was 30 years ago. All the building blocks were 1/2 acre or more and was a friendly quiet little place. Now, just about every one who had the large blocks, and could afford the cost, have sub divided and now these lots have 3 houses on the single lots and the larger lots have just about turned into small towns themselves. Once upon a time you get onto our main streets with safety, now there is so much traffic that you have to take your live into your hands trying to get onto the main streets during school start and finish. Forget going some where on Saturdays mornings it is an absolute rat race.
Weekends have turned Redbank Plains into a haven for unregistered motorcycles, with unlicensed kids, riding on the road doing wheel stands, daytime and night time with heaps of noise, cutting through our few parks that are left. Cars doing burn outs, leaving rubber trails every where ever d they can, speeding up to 130km per hour, unregistered vehicles smashing through peoples fences leaving the owners to foot the bill. Unregistered vehicles are showing up all around Don't bother to call the police they don't care , main excuse not enough police in the force. Oh and Hoons on line are a waste of time as well. Don't even think that Ipswich council will help they come up with all sorts of excuses why they should put in speed bumps, slow points. The only good thing about the council is putting up the rates every year.
Breaks ins are on the rise and it is definitely not safe to walk the streets at night time with certain groups wondering the streets, carrying weapons. If house /land pricing were increased this riff raff might not be as prominent as it is right now.
On top of this the bush has been destroyed for housing leaving no where for the koalas, kangaroos and other wild life to go,and flying foxes, with there screeching, smell, and defecating on your clothes hanging on the line, on your car ruining your paint , hanging in the trees that are left and slowly killing the trees as well. have not seen koala for 20 years and roos roaming the streets looking for food,
No Redbank Plains is now just another big city suburb, and getting worst. I would leave tomorrow if I could get a descent price for my 1/2 acre property. The problem is I can not sell my place for enough money to buy else where.
