Langwarrin

"living in langwarrin"

I have lived here in langwarrin for 4 years and have noticed the increase in graffitti, hoons driving around, there is always a loud party going on most weekend with no consideration for the neighbours. i dont put my bins out now till the morning they are due to go out as there is always one or two feral kids kicking them over. when i first brought here i thought it would be a nice area. i have been severely disappointed in the langwarrin high school (EMC) they have no consistancy in teachers, and no teachers have the oomph to stand up to the ferals that go to that school. the image is one thing, but reality is another. if i could afford to leave the area i would.

Totally agree Gosh! I (stupidly!) assumed that EMC was a great school, with a prominent family name behind it and being strictly zoned. My daughter was severely bullied and experienced physical threats of violence. The school seems more concerned about correct uniforms instead of dealing with the real issues. Needs mental health workers brought in, try and educate the importance of empathy and tolerance towards others.

My son attends a bayside high school and all his friends are such nice kids.. my advice for anyone with kids struggling at EMC, please change school, it won't get better there.
