St Ives

"Not what it used to be"

This was a leafy family suburb of Sydney nothing special but quite and safe. Can't believe how it has changed with ugly boxes of home units springing up everywhere. No wonder so many are leaving Sydney in droves.

Bowral

"Gorgeous place to live"

Bowral is a gorgeous Town surrounded by beautiful countryside, people are polite and friendly but of course you only get what you give so I suppose there are always those with attitude that are never happy unless they complain about something. If you live here you soon discover the great community feeling and the wonderful activities that you can involve yourself in. Most social functions that people engage in are fund raisers to do our bit to contribute to the community We have so many Sydney friends that always love to visit for a few days. We enjoy living here and only stay in our Sydney unit when necessary. Fortunately with the age of tech. you don't have to work in a big city anymore. So please don't tell everyone how good it is here.

Bowral

I know the lifestyle choice of bowral is a good one for people with small kids and older ageing 65+ however the teens have little to do. Many of the pensioners and self funded retirees are asset rich and majorly cash poor. The hospice shop in bowral has expanded to cater for oldies downsizing and uncashed formerly wealthy retirees trying to recoop their loss of lifestyle from the gfc. Socially the ring leaders determine if you are in or out! You are warned off others by ringleaders, its really school playground social exclusion, gossip and really its so prejudicial and many small minded bubble living clusters of comfy groups.
