Statistically, Donnybrook is no less safe than any other suburb, in fact less crime due to the relatively lower population compared to inner suburbs. In 99% of casesBreak-ins involving cars and homes that occurred have been due to not locking. In the area there are neighborhood watch groups on WhatsApp where people report issues for everyone's awareness, and the community looks out for one another. I have lived in the Olivine estate in Donnybrook for two years.

"Home invasion risk"

We moved out of Point Cook after home invasion and it was the best decision. The suburb looks nice but it’s not safe with so many known cases or invasions in the community. Western suburbs and northern suburbs have high home invasions, crime rate and much better prefer eastern suburbs.
