North Ryde

"North Ryde is an undiscovered gem!"

People are friendly. On my early morning walks there's always a "Hello". North Ryde is green and leafy - good air quality. Private blocks. Little traffic off the main thoroughfares. Many cul-de-sacs make it safe for kids to play. Lots of well equipped playgrounds. A village atmosphere, yet Macquarie Shopping Centre, Top Ryde and Chatswood are close by. It's 10mins to Rhodes which has Ikea and more movies. The village shops and Library at Cox's Rd offer excellent variety with great restaurants. The local schools are excellent and have lots of grass!

It's a 10/15 min trip to city by car. Frequent express bus service to heart of the city, 20/25mins. I get to Eastern Suburbs in 15 mins via tunnel. No wild night life but for entertainment there's Nth Ryde RSL, many events at the Uni, plenty at El Rancho and Ramada Inn plus 15 cinemas in the Mall. Ryde Aquatic Centre and the gym make exercising easy - not to mention Lane Cove National Park. A haven for wild life and a magnificent river to walk beside. I find North Ryde one of the best suburbs in Sydney. You can even see the fireworks on New Years eve.
