Gumdale Court

"Tradies only"

Terrible place to live unless you are a bozo tradie. Friday and Saturday nights are party nights, bring the beer, crank up the music and let rip.

Gosh!
Don't you seem like a bitter ex-resident! O my!
We've lived here for 3 years and could not be happier. We have wonderful neighbours, all pillars of society: police officers, school principals, engineers, large business owners and retirees to name but some. Every house knows every house. It is a calm and respectful place to be. I've lived in dozens of places in Australia and internationally and I have never felt so at home.
It really is amazing the difference one home owner can make, simply by their absence.
Good riddance and may you receive a sack of coal for Christmas from Santa!

You obviously didn't have or didn't know that neighbours trespassed around to the back of my property on several occasions when I was out, to have a nosey around. One side neighbour didn't like me being in my office (one of the bedrooms) and didn't like me being in my bathroom! Her son, who has mental problems, kept watching me whenever I was in my garden and when I complained that he was fooling around my meter box one night she yelled that I was "old, fat and ugly". She was drunk and very, very abusive and threatening. And of concern is that she works in aged care - not a very caring person at all! One household used to have regular tradie get-togethers on weekends who thought it was okay to throw their beer bottles onto my front lawn because "an old lady lives there". They no longer live there so at least you are spared that. I guess because I was quiet and minded my own business this was not appreciated or understood. (I've lived in places where my quietness was very much appreciated, and where my neighbours all helped each other, including me.) The "carer" moved out when the house was sold and then a beer-swilling tradie moved in with their baby who made a non-stop noise which was torture. Their loud, booming music was played beneath my bedroom window and they just didn't care. Your experience is obviously different to mine because you are a family and there is a man in the house. I have single female friends (seniors) who live alone and are experiencing harassment and disrespect and disregard, so it must be a "thing" in Noosa. You may experience this type of behaviour when you reach old age - I hope not. I am now living on acreage and loving the space and peace. Good luck, I'm glad you are happy there.

Avoid this cul-de-sac. When you drive up it looks like a nice quiet street, however, there are loud bozo tradies and bogans living there. I had a bozo living next door who thought it was perfectly acceptable to have an outside speaker blaring out his music. He had absolutely no consideration for others and every afternoon would sit outside with his mates drinking, belching and swearing, what a "sweetheart"! One mother and her kids liked to keep aggressively banging open and closed the windows that faced my garden whenever I was outside (quietly reading or gardening), just to let me know they were watching me. Absolutely the worst neighbours I have ever had the misfortune to live near. Don't live in this street if you like peace and quiet. On the plus side, Noosaville is great for restaurants and the beautiful river, but just be careful to avoid streets with tradies living there.
