Urquhart Street

""Eastern" Urquhart street not 'Western" Urquhart"

I lived on Urquhart street in Coburg some years ago (the eastern side). There are 2 parts to Urquhart street. There's the part that's along Pentridge prison & coburg primary school & the other part is the one that's out the front of Coburg Senior High School. McDonald's recreation reserve is what stops the 2 ends of the street from joining. The house I lived in was directly opposite De Chene reserve. The house has since been knocked down & apartments have been slapped on there. But it was a lovely place to live. Within close proximity to the Merri Creek, Transport, Shops, Takeway, Schools & the City.

Barunah Street

"Street is central!"

There's really not much I can say about this street. But I can say that the nosey neighbours have moved out! So it is save to move in. These particular neighbours I'm referring to were very nosey. Every time a car drove past they'd come out of their house to see who it was. Every time I went out the front to do something they would be there trying to see what I was up to. They knew every one's business! They had lived there for years I think. Oh and there house was an eyesore! Sorry.

Barunah Street is within easy walking distance to Safeway & specialty shops. It's also close to the Fawkner Cemetery & Northern Memorial Park & local schools. Transport is close by also

Stewarts Lane

"Street in Killara Estate!"

There are two parts of Stewarts lane which can be confusing for guests, Taxi drivers & Deliveries. Stewart lane starts at Elizabeth Drive & finishes on Philip Drive. However, half way up the street there is no car access to the rest of the street so you have to detour onto Riddle road then turn down Philip Drive to access the other half of the street! Confusing I know. But it is a nice street to live on & raise a family. It's in easy walking distance to 2 primary schools & kindergarten/childcare centre's, local milk-bars & beauty salon.

"Nothing as far as the eye can see!!!!!!!!!"

If you like peace & quiet then this is the place for you!!!! With only a handful of houses you are guaranteed isolation. I would not recommend this "town" for families or couples & definitely not for singles!! However if you are newly retired & looking for a change (challenge) then this would suit you to a tee! Expect to find cheap houses/land. Rentals are hard to come by & are by word of mouth only!

About 15km south/east you will find Deep Creek Marina. Continue a further 15km & you will find Echuca/Moama.

Clifton St

"Great place if you don't mind boredom!"

Mathoura is the type of place that can grow old real quick!. everyone knows everyone hence they all know each others business!

Having said that though it is a great little town once you get to know it & it's inhabitants. There are 2 pubs in town & a bowling club. Very small IGA services the town & a takeaway shop although I think that's closed down. I don't think it was very clean anyway!

This particular street (Clifton Street) is a dirt road. & it's the last street out of town heading to Deni.

Wilsons Lane is opposite Farm land with Lots of Horses! Young P platers can some time's speed along Wilsons lane as it's a very long road. It has easy access to the Calder fwy. Also down the end of the road is Boardman stadium with 3 ovals!

Goff Street

"Opposite Parkland, recreation, Merri creek"

I grew up on this street. It had a great view of the footy/cricket oval until they planted trees along the creek. I loved this place!!!!!!!
