After 4 years living in South Perth, Carlisle could be seen as a "step down". In many ways it is. I notice when it rains, every hoon seems to live nearby and jumps in their car to demonstrate their sideways prowess. Fair bit of traffic at peak times on the busier roads. A fair few ragged looking homes that I hope will eventually be bought up and renovated/demolished for something better. Otherwise though, it's a nice area that's perfectly located close to the city, nice mix of homes, units and villas and is well priced. Brilliantly located for freeways, highways, city access and public transport. Still has a few small businesses operating (hire place, local post offices etc) so you don't have to find the local big shopping center/servo just to grab small items. Nice little strip on Archer st with newsagent, restaurants, cafe etc. Hopefully this will grow to be a nice little cafe strip in the future. Overall, happy with my move and recommended.
