Overcrowded, Infrastructure 20yrs behind. Roads are a mess... not enough schools for the tens of thousands that have flocked to the area. The 1 stockland we have is Overcrowded and small. House prices ridiculous. Crime is out of control and seems to be hushed throughout the media. I wouldn't live in town at all unless you like being broken into and dealing with crack heads. Dundowran would be the next best thing. River heads to far out nothing there and full of midges. I'm looking forward to leaving the area before my last baby starts school. They are developing the every inch out of Hervey Bay. Oh and the council rates are a complete joke along with the ridiculous tip fees. Do your research before you settle here. Everywhere has its problems but Hervey Bay has no solutions oh and ni police here. The cops shop literally shuts 5pm.
They have parks here but most are taken up by junkies now unfortunately
