Kingaroy

"Moving here was the worst decision"

Live and work here and cant wait to leave. Very toxic town, low socioeconomic and high crime rate only getting worse. Poor medical care and hard to access dental, hospitals and schools are a joke. Town is all about who you know and what you can get otherwise the locals will destroy you. Have no interest in supporting local businesses instead you will be defamed on social media. Not somewhere to raise kids or for the elderly requiring services. Stay clear.

It all comes down to personal experience and circumstances. What Jillj2 has written there may be relevant to her but it certainly wouldn't apply to the population there as a whole.

Kimberlyg2, there are 2 state primary schools and 1 state high school which is known as a School of Excellence for its music program. There is a Catholic school that ranges from P-12 and a Lutheran school that ranges from K-9 (with view to progressing 10 and beyond in future). Enrolling into a school is easy - there is no shortage of places. There are many options for dentists in town. The local general hospital is brand new after some recent funding showcasing state of the art wards, birth suite and emergency department. What jillj2 has written above is certainly not representative of the general population and personal circumstance would certainly come into it. I have lived here for the last 15 years and feel it's a fantastic place to raise children. Real estate is affordable (getting expensive now - like everywhere) and the rural backdrop makes for an aesthetical pleasing environment. The town centre is currently undergoing a Town Revitalisation Project, beautifying streets, shop fronts and planting many trees. Kingaroy is only 1 hour 45 minutes from Toowoomba and around 2 hours 45 minutes from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. Sporting facilities are very good and the extensive Kingaroy rail trail is excellent way to see the countryside by bike/walk.

Are there public transports within Kingaroy? If one needs to go to Swickers or PCA, will there be public transport operating nearby?

None of the Doctors are taking new patients. Dont bother going to the new hospital just go straight to Toowoomba as you would be sent there anyway.
There is an intermittent bus service taxi well wouldnt catch one as they are not maintained all that well.
Be prepared to wait to get anything repaired . Took nearly six months to get my new oven installed. Cooking on a bar be que through autumn and winter sucked. Then to charge $2500 for a $500 oven.
You need tradesperson to work get someone from Dalby.
You need a car part or mower part buy online gets here quicker.
Rentals are hard to find, houses to buy are over priced.

There's nothing adverse about the town that doesnt apply to any rural town. If you want everything at your finger tips, on demand and the fast lane lifestyle then you stay near the cities and pay the appropriate fortune for the privilege and the higher cost of living.

Its actually more expensive living rural than the cities. Rates are higher, and to access healthcare you need to travel.
There's a difference between having access to basic human requirements and human wants.
20 or 30 years ago, this was a great county town. Its been destroyed. Its now a town full of crime, poor services and limited facilities
