"Aspendale- The place to be in Bayside Melbourne that has the country vibe"

Having grown up in Aspendale especially near Taylor Avenue, I got to say it is amazing of what you can get living in Aspendale when it comes to summer days nothing beats heading down to the beach for a dip before coming out and enjoying a late dinner most of us locals would go for Fish N Chips down at Laura St or Pizza Boys down at Station Street for pizza....or even Gracys Cafe in Laura St for brunch Aspendale's unknown secret when it comes to best sandwiches and coffee

For the families you can't go better then Aspendale you got the two primary schools St Louis and Aspendale Primary then having numerous of parks from Albany Crescent to the back to Aspendale in Taronga Avenue. Hence you also have two child care centres one being Aspendale North and the other being former Aspendale Central now Bonkers Childcare centre, Nola Barber Kindergarden is a noteable child care centre up Station St which is also popular.

I enjoy living in Aspendale because as a young person and not being able to drive its great to be able to walk 5-10 minutes to get to the trains which is the most popular way of transportation in Aspendale, buses are accessible only for students, occassions when the trains don't arrive or only on certain days.
I have lived in Aspendale all my life I have three generations of family living in Aspendale, you do get to see your neighbours regularly you occassionally get the wave and the usual gossip but mostly being a local you see more of people in your community at the local shops- everyone knows everyone around Aspendale...so don't be surprised if you become acquainted with a local and you hear about someone someone someone it tends to happen alot.

The traffic is very much the same but if special events are on it can be held back for a while, it can be difficult sometimes to get though Mordialloc but other then that expect the usual sort of traffic that is everyday.
There is some social things that you can do in Aspendale especially if your into sports your family can join the Edi-Asp Footy Club which incorporates Edi-Asp Netball, also theres the St Louis and Aspendale tennis clubs and the St Louis-St Brigids/Aspendale cricket clubs there is so much to do socially in regards of sports ..so if you or your family are the sporty types Aspendale is the best place to be. Aspendale Senior Citzens Club on Station Street and St Louis De Montfort Parish also offer social events and social activities for the older population in Aspendale so everyone can be catered for.

Dogs do bark at night but also be aware that they are popular along Aspendale beach during the allowed hours so if your a dog lover come down to the beach and meet other dog owners and their dogs its a great way to meet the locals and allow your dog to be familiar with the other dogs...plus theres a bonus christmas end of year party for them as well.
