Kingsley

"A Place to Move to."

I have lived in Kingsley for ten years. My children walked to Goollelal Primary School and and all their friends lived around them. It is a great family suburb with 4 good primary schools. People here are friendly, family orientated and take pride in their homes. There are always people walking or jogging or cycling. There are great cycling tracks around Goollelal Lake and into the city. The Dome cafe is a popular meeting place for cyclists on the weekend. The Kingsley Village shopping centre is open 7 days a week and is always busy. It now has some excellent shops (you can get quality food and wine here!), as well as a very popular IGA. There is a large Woolworths in the neighbouring suburb. Kingsley is a older suburb with the majority of the houses being single storey, 4 bedroom and built in the early 80s, most of these have been renovated to some extent and some completely. There are several parks and sporting ovals and large areas of natural bushland with walking tracks. I walk my dog in the bush every day, but many people go the local park where they meet up and walk around together. The location is really good (the reason we moved here originally). There is quick access to main arterial roads. The Mitchell Freeway runs down the west side of the suburb. It is about 10 minutes to the beach and there are two train stations for the suburb. Kingsley has the feel of a place that is developing and modernising. I love the relaxed and friendly nature of the suburb, the great shops and the location. We have thought about moving several times, but can never find anywhere we would rather live.
