"Good suburb"

I’ve lived in Glen Huntly for the past five years and it’s been a great place to call home. One of the biggest advantages is how easy it is to get around, the train station, tram stops and bus stops are all close by, making commuting very convenient if you don’t drive like me.

The area feels safe and welcoming, with a strong sense of community. There are a handful of good cafés and takeaway spots, and having a Woolworths nearby makes everyday shopping easy. A cute new bar also just opened up on the shopping strip.

The local traders along Glen Huntly Road really try to bring the community together, regularly putting on events like the annual car show, food truck festivals and craft markets, which give the suburb a friendly, local feel. While the main shopping strip could use some improvement, there are a few run-down shops, the overall vibe is positive and improving.

All things considered, Glen Huntly is a suburb I’d happily recommend, particularly for families looking for good transport links, a safe environment and a genuine community atmosphere.
