"Only issue is lack of parking for homes"
With the Catholic schools here, police station and shopping centre it is all here! But many houses don't have driveways and off street car parking. This is the only down side to it really.

"In town, with out of town feeling"
With most of the blocks large in size, you get the out of town feel whilst in town. These are beautiful properties and all well loved with neighbours that all look out for one another.

"Quiet and properties go QUICK"
Any property I have for lease does not last long on Stawell Street, it's a great street, with the dead ends it stops the hoons and just makes for friendly drivers. Properties go really quick!

"Close to CBD"
Close to the CBD, but due to the two lanes, you can end up with some loud drivers. I spent 5 years living in this street as a teenager and I loved how close it was to everything I wanted to get to.

"Close to CBD"
The street has just had the guttering and foot path completed, so it looks a bit nicer now than it did 12 months ago. It is nice and quiet in most areas along the street (there is one section not so quiet).
Really close to the CBD.

"Quiet and out of the way"
More placed as "commission" houses, the little court is out of the way and nice and quiet. I was happy to live in this street for the 12 months I was there and it was nice and safe, no issues at all for me or my young family.

"Rural, but neighbourly"
Three Chain Road is just out of town on a little acreage, but the neighbours were all so lovely.

"So quiet and lovely neighbours"
We rented a property in this street for a couple of years and it is such a quiet area and the neighbours are so lovely. Definitely the type to look after one another when away on holidays. Was sad to move out of the street.

"Family Friendly"
Well known as being a "commission" area of Sale, it it trying to shake the stigma and is doing a damn fine job. Many younger kids are getting in Halloween due to watching American shows and this street and surrounding streets make it a safe haven for kids to trick or treat. Thank you for being so awesome and making it fun for the kids to be kids.

"The Main Street of Sale"
Raymond Street is the main street of sale. It has been revamped and they do this every few years. Now that the mall around the clocktower is open traffic can get a little backed, but that is because it is a shared zone with pedestrians, showing you how many people do come down the street. A great open area near the clocktower makes it a beautiful place.
The best coffee shop is located here too!

"Not just a small town"
Rosedale is located 2 hours from East Melbourne, you will pass through it when going between Traralgon and Sale. It has been well known for one of the bakery's which the owner has just opened a new store across the road. There is a quilting shop my mother absolutely loves going into, there are tea rooms and of course the vintage stalls.
There is so much to look along the walking trail, look through the national park, many heritage listed properties and of course the life size statue of the Melbourne cup winner Patrobus on the main street.
The recent opening of Smokehouse 81 has brought some new life to the town as slow cooked meat is just delicious! The smell is amazing and if you can't get in to a table, they do take away too.
There is still land selling, in town and just out, it is certainly a town that has a lot going for it that is unnoticed if you just drive through it. Next time you go through, stop in at the bakery and check out the wood carvings that Rex has.

"A small town with a bit to offer"
I was born and mostly raised in Sale and have raised my children here too. There are heaps of activities to do in Sale.
- Many different playgrounds and they are updated regularly and maintained for the kids of all ages
- Public BBQ areas for fun play and BBQ
- Many open areas the kids can run and play in
- There is a great skate park with an open area for the smaller kids on their scooters and basketball
- Swimming pool
- Many local areas outside of the pool for swimming
- A wide variety of shops - sure, we don't have KMart or Big W, but we aren't as big as Latrobe Valley and it's not that far to travel.
- Variety of food shops, including the unhealthy but good tasting take away and the healthy options
- Lovely cafes and areas to sit and meet with friends
Sure, there are areas that the rents are cheaper and sale prices are less, but this is the same as any town. As with the drugs - it's everywhere throughout the world. We are a small town and most people know each other so it does seem bigger, but look at the whole of Vic or even Australia as a comparison and you will realise we are not higher on the rates.
There is a variety of schools here too, private and public primary and high schools for all families. Sale is gorgeous all year round, so close to the snow, 45 mins from the beach in Summer, stunning autumn colours and the Fauna Park is stunning in Spring.
Like any town there are great things and there are bad, but as a business owner, mother, daughter and resident, I love Sale. If you have any questions about Sale, don't hesitate to ask!

Hi Lia, thanks for inviting questions. What can you tell me about Barkly Street? Approx 2 blocks from the lake and near the culdesac, no through road... without being specific.
Also interested in your insight in unit market, e.g. forecasted growth and rental return. It looks to be more static than houses but I can't find a lot of good intel off the internet.
Thanks :)
