Redbank Plains

"Fight Night every nights"

I have lived in a brand new home in the new Fernbrooke Estate. Because of issues the developers had with the major telstra / optus etc, we can only get fibreoptics. It is expensive and crap.

The neighbourhood is full of renters who don't give a damm about their living environment, there are fights every Friday and Saturday nights between the different races ie, samoans, indians, aboriginals, Maoris and sudanese as well as individual households. The females are as bad as they males. There is little police activity because they figure someone will have sorted it out by the time they get there. It is nothing more than a ghetto and is getting worse. I would rather pay top money and rent somehwere civilised than continue to live in Redbank Plains, which is what I am doing. It is not a good place to walk at night nor let your kids play in the park or streets.

Who lives here?

Great review. You wrote this on the 25th October. On that day 4 houses got their windows smashed on Henty Dr. -in daylight. There was a helicopter doing low flybys along the waterways and bushland for 30-40 minutes. There is a residential police beat just off Highbury Dr, what is the good of it?? Does anyone actually live or work there??

I have lived in Redbank Plains for 17 years, i have lived in springfield for 7 months and now moved to leichhardt, been there for just on 5 months.... you could say i have gone from one extreem to the next.. Whilst living in RBP, we have had our house broken into once.. about 10 years after being born we were broken into.. touch wood we havnt been again.. i dont understand all the hatred for RBP i understand there is "CRIMES" but holy crap.. when i lived in springfield there was fights every night and all sorts of things.. now im in leichhardt and everyone bags the crap out of us for renting in leichhardt.. well honestly its more peice and quiet thatn springfield.. anyway.. my parents still live in the same house they build 19 years ago... 1 break in & 1 fight with a neighbour (that we never spoke to anyway). so please it may be a rising crime suburb but dont make it seem like it is worse than it is... Redbank plains or any suburb has crime. file a complaint and move on.. and yes the police beat is there, yes someone lives there, as i live around the corner from it...... but just remember there is always someone somewhere worse off than you 'hence why the police can't always get there on time'.. if your so worried about that why dont you become a police officer and tackle the "crime" youself.... SImple.. don't like it.... don't live there!!!
