Kilburn

"Don't believe all the negativity...look beyond & see the potential!"

Location, location, location! Close to Prospect and North Adelaide, CBD just 8km away, let's not forget Adelaide Oval for all the footy fans out there. Soon-to-be-built shopping centre on Churchill Road.

Multicultural it is, cheap housing it is, housing trust, yes there is but housing trust homes are located all over Adelaide, including our expensive suburbs.

There are some undesirables but, we all see a undesirables around from time to time, even in some of the expensive suburbs.

Those who judge the area based on negative people with negative attitudes, will miss an opportunity to buy into a cheap suburb, which one day will be expensive!

Lets not forget that Bowden and Prospect for instance, were once considered low income areas.

Great for

  • Multicultural
  • Cheap, up-&-coming suburb
  • Potential
  • Convenience to everything

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Students

No one should believe you. You can't even give the right information!
And P.S, Prospect and Bowden are listed in the Top 10 best suburbs in SA, but "Kilburn" is listed in the Top 170. Your loss.

I don't know why Kilburn is rated so low as Prospect comes up in the media more often for crime, especially drug related.

AnnaT1

That is actually correct. Prospect DOES come up more in the news for crime than Kilburn.

North the original POINT was Prospect and Bowden were once upon a time in the same boat as Kilburn is today i think you need to re-read understand then comment! As for the area realestate.com.au are advertising that tgey need more listings in Kilburn. A family member who lives in kilburn gets letters every other day regarding selling now that tells me there's much interest in Kilburn

BillB1, have you even ever been to Prospect? Or are you just denying the fact that Kilburn is pretty much better than Prospect? If not, I don't need to hear a stupid "comeback" you might decide to throw at me because guess what? I won't care.
Back to topic. My father lived here with his parents and purchased a home in Prospect in the mid 1970s. His parents actually still live here today. As you claimed to have said that "once upon a time, Prospect and Bowden were in the same boat as Kilburn" will be something absolutely ridiculous you have said. My father and his parents, sorry to hurt your feelings, had NO PROBLEMS/ISSUES/INCIDENTS. None. No crime, nothing. Houses were beautiful, clean and tidy. And this was "once upon a time". Not sure if you actually lived here or someone else of whom you know lived here to elaborate on your "quote".
