Proserpine is the place where you feel at peace with your decision, it is a growing town but the people are always so helpful and friendly. It is so easy to access services and recreation. I like doing day trips to Bowen to enjoy its real beaches instead of Airlie's river sand imitations. Proserpine lacks many of the drawbacks of Cannonvale or Jubilee Pocket like midges, poor tv reception, lack of breezes due to mountain blocking, storm tide hazard etc. It is a win win.

I did not like Cannonvale one bit. The people are rude, you only have to look at local FB groups to see how they treat one another. It is very poorly maintained by residents with yards unkempt and a real confusing mishmash of residential and industrial uses. It is like the landfill of Airlie Beach, actually that is in Carlo Drive. Proserpine has all the best bits of the Whitsundays minus the negatives of Cannonvale. I would not live here again.
