Great for

Cooler temperature than near-by Cairns in the hot summer months.
Seeing loads of butterflies flying around every day of the year.
The large tracts of amazing rainforest full of rare animals and insects.
I can experience the local aboriginal culture
I can join community groups or just enjoy all the activities that are organised at the amphitheatre etc

Not great for

Experience other cultures
But it is great to open up your house to clean cool air
