Narraweena

"Quiet, close to the beaches and good for families"

After a few years of consideration we sold in Randwick and moved to Narraweena.
It's been a great move for us, we're enjoying the less crowded beaches and more relaxed vibe, and the kids are loving the extra outdoor space.
The location was the right fit for us to balance our commute (not being too far north) and having fairly quick access to the beaches north and south. We were also looking in the Collaroy area but most houses weren't a walk from the beach, plus with the kids we're often driving down anyway.
We're in a quiet street, the neighbours have been very friendly and block sizes are bigger than what we'd been used to which was part of the appeal. Unsurprisingly nightlife is more of a struggle up here but we're happy with that compromise, particularly since kids! Still plenty of good eating out options.
We also really enjoyed living in Randwick and appreciated how safe the area was - did a bunch of research on Narraweena like googling crime rate stats - per 1000 people it's the same or better than Mosman, Manly or Randwick. It's not Manly of course, but it's a good fit for us.
