Gordon Street

"Very busy street"

There is a hell of a lot of traffic from the Classic Cinema, locals, the ABC and Hipster Hanna. That's the only thing that's bad about it. Everyone dawdles along in their car looking for a park. The Adas Israel community keep very much to themselves (It appears they don't talk to more secular Jews either), so aside from the occasional hello from the kids don't expect much from them. Despite that you can walk to Coles or Glen Eira/Huntley roads and there are some very long term residents of this street and it's so close to everything. A cracking place to live.

"Synagogues, hipsters and mid century modern architecture"

There's a large Chassidic Jew/Adas Israel population which keeps the area from taking off into the hipster stratosphere. It also gives a good cultural variety for places to eat out - and there's plenty of options for that. Most of our neighbours have lived there for donkeys years, many having grown up and raised their own families there. They tend to be a very nice bunch. My favourite thing about the area is the architecture. There's so many examples of amazing homes from the 30s through to the 70s of every architecture you can imagine. Heaps of public transport options.

The only downside to the area is that there are not many parks. But it means that the park land we have is very good and popular. Especially on the sabbath!
