Lived there for 10 years growing up - loved it. Very convenient to transport, schools etc; many lovely houses. A great place for a teenager!

Great spot in Leichhardt - principally because it is in a nice quiet part of the suburb but is conveniently equidistant to a lot of services - eg Norton Plaza/Marketplace; bus/Petersham station; Leichard/Kegworth public schools. The street itself is for the most part very friendly, as is the cafe at the top of the street. Downside - parking is often tricky.

Leichhardt has a wonderful genuine community spirit. Being close to the CBD with commensurate block sizes, the local parks are filled every afternoon with children playing. It is very neighbourly, services are excellent with regard to transport, grocery shopping etc, preschools and schools are aplenty.
