What is the public school like in Leichhardt?

I am probably moving to Leichhardt in the new year with my 9 year old son. Does the local public school have a good reputation? How have parents found the school?

My kids are not yet of school age. However, I live and work in Leichhardt and the public school has a first rate reputation. As a buyer's agent, a number of clients have bought their family homes specifically to be within the Leichhardt public school catchment area.

Some recent clients were considering to buy in Randwick North, Kensington, Annandale North, Drummoyne, Birchgrove and Leichhardt purely on the basis of the reputation of the public schools. They ended up buying in Leichhardt!!

Really good. Great community - esp given it is now quite a big school; teachers are, in our experience, all passionate and enthusiastic; friendly environment; and the Principal is also great - he's had a wonderful influence on the school.

They do pretty well on the academics on myschool - certainly at the upper end from memory for all the comparative schools.

Look on the 'my school' government website. It has ratings based on academic scores for all the schools
