Moved here from New Farm and I love this place! It is so close to two train stations (Bindha and Virginia) giving a choice of transport. The place I am in is within walking distance to both. No as good bus frequency system as New Farm but who cares, trains galore and I found them more reliable than buses anyway.

Prices seem to be increasing here as people discover Virginia. There is golf, creek and parks nearby. Bunnings, Chemist Warehouse, Officeworks and many many other options are nearby. Eating out there are a few options (Banyo Village, Nundah and Northgate nearby). I always felt safe here. So overall, I am surprised I never thought about this place before!

I am surprised so many people miss this suburb. It is so close to the bay, with the fresh air rolling through the hills in the afternoon. From North and West there is the pine river which keeps the place cool. Such a relief in hot summer.

There are a number of schools nearby and some childcare centres, so amenity is high. I would personally stay away from the main roads through as they can get noisy. Also the suburb is stone throw away from a number of major shopping areas. Strathpine is nearby with great shopping centre, in fact its 3 minutes drive or next stop on the train. Buses are plenty and frequent. Carseldine shopping area with Bunnings and Aldi is just around the corner. I love this area. It is central yet very homely.
