"Brutal"

The Brutal Verdict
In Coolbellup:
That shattering sound in the night isn't bottles hitting the bin—it's someone making an unscheduled withdrawal from your living room.
You don't lend your neighbours sugar—you just notice your lawnmower, your fence panels, and your car have been permanently borrowed.
Safety isn't a feature of the area; it's a myth whispered by outsiders.
Coolbellup: You'll come for the affordable housing. You'll stay because your ride out of town is now on bricks.

Been living here for over 8 years and never had a problem, have friends and family and neighbours been here over 30 years and have never had any crime at all.

All of Perth's crime has gone up unfortunately, there have been huge crime spikes even in affluent suburbs like Booragoon, Apple Cross, Melville just to name a few South of the river but North of the River as well, you take a look at crime maps and WA has become the worst state in the whole country as we have the worst police attrition rate of any state, so of course then crime can increase.

Coolbellup also has pockets I've heard which borders on Hamilton Hill, which is quite bad on that side (from the bottle shop onwards to Hamilton Hill from Coolbellup) , however again I've never noticed one thing in all my years and when asking others, they are exactly the same.

I'm the same as Ozbloke36 , never had an issue living here in coming up to a decade now.

Before I moved here I spoke to many neighbours, people love the area and community feel and never ever had an issue and this is with older more vulnerable people who have been here over 40 years.

I have neighbours who come from Melville, Attadale etc and other really nice areas and love it here.

It really is easy to talk about one incident and post it on here, yet living here for the vast majority of people like myself we never have an issue.

As I said in my other reply to another person (which is suspicious that two reviews saying similar things get posted on the same date, which never happens unless it is the same person under different names normally, especially original reviews) , these incidents can happen anywhere as I've had friends after having zero problems for 20 years in Coolbellup, they move to a much more affluent suburb and get broken into 5 times in two years and NEVER had an issue in Coolbellup.
