Zillmere is great for commuting to work in the city. It has excellent bus and train connections. It's also very convenient to Westfield Chermside, a couple of minutes drive away.

The areas near the shops and towards Taigum offer affordable living and can attract a lower-socio economic group, although I have see this change for the better in the five year's I've lived here. Rents have increased a lot here in the past few years so this is changing the demographic. Homes near the Geebung or Aspley border are still affordable and are a nice place to live.

I've never experienced any crime in the time I've lived here.
