I have lived in Stafford Heights for the past 10 years and have enjoyed every minute! As a shop-a-holic I reverse out of my driveway (waving to my neighbours who some are now my closest friends) deciding which shopping centre today? As for walking distance, who needs to walk unless you are drinking and who wants drinkers in close proximity to your home? I love walking the streets looking at all the improvements, mountain, gateway and city views, talking with life long residents. I was pruning a tree yesterday and a resident from two blocks away stopped to help, as did the next two walkers for a chat. Yes we have dogs and music because we are alive and living 7km from the city. I find it hard to believe a hoon would bypass certain suburbs crusing the streets. We take pride in our residents and not try to "out do" each other. I had a very hard time deciding on a school because the choice is vast. I may need to sell soon but will definately buy again in the area. As for the not so good areas which I too had concerns, my friends have lived in "those pockets" for 9yrs and love the area. Never judge a book by it's cover.
