Paralowie

"A growing town with tonnes of potential"

Paralowie is a residential suburb in the north of Adelaide and is nestled in between similar residential suburbs of Burton, Salisbury Downs, Globe Derby Park, Salisbury North and Parafield Gardens.
The town was developed in the early seventies and saw rapid growth in the eighties and nineties and has been slowly evolving to it's current existence. Paralowie has a varied range of residential prices with prices from the low $200's to as high as low $400's but their are a few exceptions. I have been a resident for 10 years and have seen many highs and lows. The area is very well serviced with schools, shops and public transport in abundance. Their are pockets of older homes (1970 -1980) and pockets of 1990 to 2002 homes plus the latest and ongoing more modern offerings. The majority of residents are owner occupiers but their is also investment opportunity via rental properties including units and apartments. My experiences in the area and in particular in my street tell me that the neighbours are very friendly and that noise at night and barking dogs are not a problem. Yes they bark but only when they have too. In terms of real estate the area has a lot to offer with reasonable priced homes and good growth potential though the market is soft at the moment but positive signs are emerging.
