"Pleasnt Place"

A nice Area With a Good Shopping Complex. Decent homes and decent parks, shops, and great suburb design. it has good transport system with busses drive down liberator drive every 10 minutes to other places. the houses in the area are around 20 years or older with newer esastes but not much of them. parts of the area that started back in 1967. Paralowie has a mix of Lovely, Nice, Average, and Horrible Streets. it just depends on the owner and the very older streets like 30+ years aren't very well kept but an overall nice place to live and very affordable. the council is good and renovates different streets and is very well maintained at most parts.

"Paralowie is the best suburb"

I personally believe Paralowie is one of the best suburbs to live in as it is culturally diverse and has many great amenities located close by and now with the northern connector it makes life easier to travel too and from the city with out having to be tok close to the hustle and bustle of city life style.

"Friendly neighbors, good private schools, and close enough you can walk to most places"

Paralowie is a great place to live if you have young children. The place has a vibrant multicultural community and very friendly neighbors willing to help each other out. The private schools here are highly recommended. Easy to get to most places in Paralowie by walking or short distance in car. Kids love playing in parks and walking to shops and school.

"Mixed bag"

Some nice areas, and some shocking areas. Choose carefully as Paralowie has lots of unemployment and antisocial problems.

"A growing town with tonnes of potential"

Paralowie is a residential suburb in the north of Adelaide and is nestled in between similar residential suburbs of Burton, Salisbury Downs, Globe Derby Park, Salisbury North and Parafield Gardens.
The town was developed in the early seventies and saw rapid growth in the eighties and nineties and has been slowly evolving to it's current existence. Paralowie has a varied range of residential prices with prices from the low $200's to as high as low $400's but their are a few exceptions. I have been a resident for 10 years and have seen many highs and lows. The area is very well serviced with schools, shops and public transport in abundance. Their are pockets of older homes (1970 -1980) and pockets of 1990 to 2002 homes plus the latest and ongoing more modern offerings. The majority of residents are owner occupiers but their is also investment opportunity via rental properties including units and apartments. My experiences in the area and in particular in my street tell me that the neighbours are very friendly and that noise at night and barking dogs are not a problem. Yes they bark but only when they have too. In terms of real estate the area has a lot to offer with reasonable priced homes and good growth potential though the market is soft at the moment but positive signs are emerging.

Great for

  • A great place to raise your family
  • Close to all facilities including a park.
  • Good quality affordable homes

Not great for

  • No sea views

"High Growth Potential"

The northern suburbs are growing fast particularly in Paralowie which is rapidly becoming the jewel in the crown. The recent release of The Orchard at Direk (the new Salisbury) will add value to the area. Where there were once dated housing, we now have stylish brand new up market houses. Along with this evolutionary shift in housing requirements and changing demograhics is the emergence of a variety of cafe's, restaurants, specialty shops & beauty salons to cater for our changing socio-economic structure.Despite this transformation Paralowie has retained it's vibrant and friendly community spirit. This exciting transformation is still in it's early days and should provide for enormous growth in the coming years.

"Fantastic affordable neighbourhoud - in most parts."

Paralowie has varying demographics between different sections, and is well worth considering. Don't be put off by a couple of inspections in dissapointing streets, keep looking and you will find a great area with clean streets, great neighbours etc.

Most houses are around 20 years old, with some parts still being built.
