Seaford

"Encountered so much crime"

We've been renting in a street off Seaford Road for almost two years. In this time we've encountered plenty of off-putting things. We have been victim to an aggravated burglary. Two arsons in our street, one a car and the other a boat. A few times now I've seen people waltz out of Woolies/Safeway Seaford without paying for trolleys full of groceries. Drug deals in their carpark at night as well as down the end of my driveway. A junkie straight up offered me drugs in exhange for a lift once. I've heard gunshots coming from the industrial district a few times now. People don't let their kids play in the street here. The United petrol station at the end of Seaford road gets robbed quite frequently. It has the potential to be a nice place to live, Eastlink and Frankston Motorway nearby, a short drive to 4 shopping centres, close to the beach. The beach is very nice, there's frequently a sand bar that comes in and makes a natural sort of pool with perfect temperature water. It's unfortunately too close to Frankston and the ferals and degenerates come up looking for places to rob and streets to hoon in. The closer streets to Patterson Lakes with well maintained properties are nicer areas, the streets closer to Frankston aren't very good. Have a knock on people's doors if you're looking to buy or even just rent and ask what people's experiences are to ensure you'll be living in a nicer part of Seaford.

Which part of seaford do you live in? We are planning to buy a house near East Seaford reserve. We are moving from the city and have no idea about safety. Any advise will be much appreciated.

Between the wetlands and the beach is the best part of Seaford, very peaceful and convenient.
