Wellington Point

"Serenity by the sea"

Great place to live! We moved here from Sydney last year and commute to Brisbane for work each day. A million times easer than Sydney traffic. The kids have settled in early to their new school and the neighbours have welcomed us. Couldn't ask for a smoother transition and with housing around half the price of Sydney we can live close to the water in a great house. And don't forget the restaurants and pub within walking distance!

Great for

  • Beautiful location
  • Less traffic than most suburbs this close to the city
  • Close to train at cleveland

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • LGBT+
  • Trendy & Stylish
  • Beach Lovers

Hi there, just wondering how things are going with the kids and schools? We move to Brisbane in November and had thought we would go to a western suburb for the schooling. We are wondering if in the long run it would be nicer to be near the sea and breezes rather than inland. Any advice on schools would be great :-) Many thanks!

The kids are in Wellington point state school and are very happy there. The school has a good reputation so we are happy too!
We chose to live by the water for a more controlled climate and the healthy family activities that we can do here. I would recommend it over the western suburbs as a summer out there can be brutal.

Hi there we are moving to Brisbane in December and are looking at Birkdale and maybe Manly. Was considering Moreton Bay college but may look at the state school if you think its a good standard?

Hi, I am looking at moving to Brisbane, at this stage my choice seems to be Wellington Point or Shailer Park, anyone have a point of view on these two suburbs?
