"South of Dome Cafe is a lovely pocket"
We bought a home in Butler on one of the side streets coming off Kingsbridge Blvd, close to Marmion Ave. It’s a lovely pocket in Butler and one of the older developments, so the blocks are larger (minimum 650 m2), tree lined streets with mature trees, walking distance to the beautifully landscaped lake and parklands, Dome Cafe, Cornerstone Pub, Coles, Poolworks and some small take away shops. Most the houses in this pocket are owner occupied and a lot have beautifully maintained front gardens and verges. For the current realestate prices here, it’s extremely good value, 3 mins to the beach by car, nice new highway to the CBD (30 mins) new train line (37 mins to CBD), landscaped gardens, buried power cables, pretty street lights, and some roads even paved at the start for some character. Never had any issues.

some violent crimes happen in +around Butler EG:Joondalup Detectives have charged two men following an investigation into an incident which occurred in Jindalee on Friday 2 August 2024.
About 3:15am, a man aged in his 70s was walking through a restaurant carpark on Cockleshell Brace when he was approached by two males who were not known to him.
The males pushed the man to the ground and kicked him several times, before they left the scene in vehicle.
The man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St. John WA for treatment of serious head and facial injuries.
Following inquiries, detectives charged two men from Butler aged 21 and 22 with;
- With intent to harm, did an act causing bodily harm
They are both due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Saturday 3 August 2024.
Hi Rob! We are about to move to Butler just up from the Dome on Wadhurst road. A lot of comments on here talk about the crimes and hoons in Butler, but a lot of these posts also don't have a date on them which makes me think situation has improved. Have you felt a good sense of security there so far? Nothing too dodgy that you have noticed?
