Hi Robbo,

Any other comments? What were the neighbors like? What were some of the positive aspects of living here.

Maybe it was busy in 2009- when this comment was made ( I don't know, i moved to North rd, few years ago)... :)andI love North rd, so I have to disagree with outdated Robbos's comment. :).

PeaceandLove, perhaps you may love it because you are used to the trucks of Yarraville. I dont think it is all that busy either and I lived two streets away from some 25 years. Although I do think the traffic has picked up in the last few years. North Road is the main through road to get to the shore from Williamstown road. Specifically in summer. You can have everyone going for their lovely summer drives during these lovely weekend summers day and that includes hoons with hotted up cars and loud sound systems. Though I think this is a symptom to anywhere with a beach or coast line. It's never really bothered me.

That all said, I feel the location far outweighs the negatives of the area and winter is lovely as traffic is rather low. However, not as low as some of the other streets of the area, though again, north road is a main through road. so it's to be somewhat expected.

As for the residents, they are great, Everyone has a passion for life and tends to take care of their houses and thus making the area look relatively pleasant. So if you can find a rough nut amongst the diamonds, it's always a good investment... if you're up for the work ahead of you. Newport generally has quite sandy soil and most older houses need re blocking... something to consider when investing.

Thanks
