My uncle has been living here since 1989. Well , to be honest nice neighbourhood and serene area. Certain part of Templestowe Lower which is nearer to Maningham area and High Street are of good buys. Other than that, personally speaking, an average suburb with average sosial status and average income owner. It is a good entry to Maningham area as properties in Templestowe lower are of great value for money as compared to Templestowe and Doncaster as for 700K, you get really nice renovated house and for 800K above, you will have all the luxury and location.My sisters loves it here as people are not snobbish and easily accessed to shopping as she lives near Maningham Road.

Templestowe is home to some of Melbourne's large and grand mansions. Driving down most of the roads in Templestowe, you will see great street presence-A mixure of prestigious and grand mansions, great modern townhouses and well-maintained manicure graden of older properties.
Though prices are a bit steep , but Templestowe is really a good investment. I have bought a house last year and sold it this year, and I got such great money! Indeed a prestige and quiet area yet near to all busy central neighbourhood such as Doncaster and Boxhill. No doubt it is still Maningham top suburb!!!
