"Umm, 'Specific' Buyer Type Required"
I'll just hurry up and say this. Wallsend is about people, young people, who need to go to uni for a few years. Thats it. It really is good for nothing else. There are cheper hosues for singles or couples, quieter places to raise a family and far mre central (and cheaper) places to get old. Therefore, buy up if you plan on working at the uni, or rent. Buy up if you plan to invest, and rent it out to uni students, but otherwise look elsewhere. then there is the domestic violence issue with foriegn exchange students. Look, i'm not gonna get involved with something THAT controversial, but it is food for thought. Really though, this place is but for one thing...

"Meh"
Well, you know, meh. Meh sums up this street and this suburb. It IS quite friendly, but also very compacted, very little to see and average looking homes. Most are not derelict and they, as a whole stand head and shoulders above the previously reviewd 'Mayfield' *shudder*. You know, its alright. Failry close to schools, good air, but there is something missing from the area and it is charm, and peace and quiet. Despite living next to a substantial clump of trees, this area is far from remote, and noise can be a problem. But overall, good for young family. To far away for the elderly though. They need something closer.

"What A Hole"
Mayfield is among the worst places to live in coastal NSW. It is seriously filled with the worst kind of property, raught with "tidy Kitchens" and "decent bathrooms". It is the worst place to live in Newcastle (except of course Carrington, but it's the worst in Australia). Only invest in property here if you don't mind your houses being trashed and your money late if ever given. Seriously, anybody looking to buy here, if they can afford to move, they can do better. Try Edgeworth maybe. Concrete jungle yes, but not the kind of hole you see here. Even if this house is okay, which it is, quite nice, the neibourhood, and rest of the strret is filled with the kind of people you wouldn't want handling your pet rat. LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Yea, exactly!
That has not been my experience of Mayfield at all. I've found it to be a nice suburb with good facilities and a great Christian school. Sounds like you need to move some place else, however I do not agree with your appraisal of Mayfield.
Mayfield is to good for you maybe you should move to windale or somewhere you may fit inn to better
